Pamela Salzman's
Thanksgiving Holiday Cooking Bootcamp
If you answered YES to even ONE of the questions above, I want to help you!
I am a teacher first, and I have taught over 100 in-person Thanksgiving cooking classes. I have personally hosted 25 Thanksgivings (never fewer than 25 people) as well as many other large holiday gatherings. And you know what? I was once overwhelmed, stressed out, and poorly prepared for this holiday. Many times, I even got sick afterwards because I was so run down from being so anxious and sleep-deprived. THIS IS NOT OK and I have learned from my mistakes.
The holidays are a time to ENJOY. A time to feel gratitude for what we have, what we can share with others, and a time to express our love for our family and friends and experience their love in return. But, why not also be able to enjoy the process and the day of, too? That’s what this bootcamp is for.

Attend the class via Zoom. Students can join at any point.
Join the LIVE Q&A immediately after the 1 hour lesson ends. A recording of the class and live Q&A will be available to all students.

Planning, Systems, and Organization
Week 1
I know many of you would like to dive straight into recipes, but as a teacher, building a strong foundation is THE KEY to success. This lesson will be all about planning, creating a menu, taking inventory of what you have and what you'll need, and creating a schedule/timeline.
Turkey and Main Dishes
Week 2
Let's talk turkey! This is a protein many cooks struggle with - in terms of overcooking, undercooking, timing it correctly, carving, how much to order, etc. I will demonstrate 3 ways to cook turkey and a great plant-based main dish (plus additional recipes.)
Side Dishes
Week 3
There are so many possibilities! What side dishes should you choose? I'll teach you how to create balance, figure out what you can do ahead, and of course demonstrate some amazing recipes!
Desserts and More!
Week 4
Thanksgiving desserts are my favorite! I'll teach you how to make the perfect pie, alternatives to pies, and a great easy last-minute dessert, plus all my best tips and tricks so that you can look like a STAR!
About Me
I have loved good food and enjoyed cooking for as long as I can remember. As a child, while other kids were at the playground, I was helping my father in the garden, watering plants and vines and watching miracles happen. I come from a large Italian-American family where sit-down holiday dinners for 85 people are the norm (how, you might ask – organization! But more on that later …).
The food I grew up with was never fancy, even though my mother always had a subscription to Gourmet. But I knew where the food came from and it was always real. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I learned more about the nourishing and healing power of food. And it wasn’t until I volunteered as a nutrition docent in an elementary school for Growing Great that it truly crystallized for me — our society has a big problem. I knew I had to do something, but was unsure of where to start.
I was asked to teach a “healthful cooking class” for a group of young mothers. The business grew organically from that first group and I knew I had a message — and a new mission — in life.
